We are having a typical June, or perhaps a wetter one than normal. Not only does it hinder progress but also gives me grief to see the materials drenched.
Putting the trusses in place with little help was tricky, as was positioning the fascia. I don’t think I have made any significant errors but could do a better job next time.
The rain is supposed to stop so I started to sheath the roof. Yesterday it rained all day and that put me in a bad mood. The lower corners of the roof are a challenge. Since the photo above I have turned the right corner. Once I have the lower row of sheathing applied all around then at least the walls will be out of the rain.
The garage is starting to look like an impressive building. One neighbour commented that it looked bigger than the house. Not true but it will be the dominant feature from the street once completed.
